Quick & Easy Charity Quilt Month

  1. The Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild in Northern California makes charity quilts on a regular basis. We donate baby quilts to the NICU at Lucille Packard Hospital and will be donating patriotic quilts to the VA hospital for Veterans day. For the baby quilts we have a postage stamp quilt that we routinely make that we mix up with other patterns that come to our attention, like the dissappearing 9 patch and the Scrappy Trip Along. The patriotic quilt pattern was designed by our president. If I can figure out how to do it, I will send some phots of examples of our quilts. Ones of our members has made about 8 quilts using orphan blocks just this year- they are dynamite. It is amazing what you can make from someone ele's cast-off.
